BARNARD COLLEGE:  Reunion Invitation Package

So many alumni … so little time.  The challenge to this project is two-fold:  keep all of the invitation inserts properly segregated and coordinated for each class year (i.e. make sure that the Class of ’98 doesn’t receive the Class of ’43 reunion event schedule); and, print, assemble and mail as expeditiously as possible.

Specifications:  Printed four colors – black, PMS 8400 metallic silver, PMS 632 robin’s egg blue and overall gloss varnish – on a potpourri of stocks ranging from bright white opaque 60# text to gloss coated 80# cover.  Die-cut, collated, inserted, wafer-sealed, inkjet addressed and mailed.

How does one make an annual report stand out from the plethora of annuals out there?  One extremely effective way is to produce it as an 8.5” square.

The secret to keeping the production of a monthly publication on schedule?  Push-push-push-push … prepress thru printing thru bindery thru mailing.

Specifications:  This 20 page self-cover is printed as a four-color (outside) signature and two-color (inside) signatures on Finch Opaque Bright White Smooth 50# Text.  Folded, saddle-stitched and then hard-folded.  Inkjet addressed and mailed Periodicals Class.

Postcards have long proven themselves to be extremely effective, and affordable, marketing communication tools.  From a save-the-date message to advertising a new product or service, postcards are an excellent way of reaching your “audience”.

Specifications:  These are printed sheetwise, CMYK and an overall satin varnish on the coated (face) side over PMS 287 blue on the uncoated (back) side.  The stock is Kalima Coated One Side 8 pt. Cover.

Please open-close-push-pull-fold-unfold-tuck-slide-shake and just generally manipulate.  Die-cutting transforms a printed piece so that it becomes interactive and even fun.  It moves the recipient far beyond passively reading it.

Specifications:  For this award-winner, Smart Paper KromeKote Coated Two Sides 14 pt. Cover is the stock of choice. The printing is five colors – CMYK plus an overall gloss varnish.  It is die-cut to create a multi-dimensional platform, then pasted and hand-folded.

Produced as a uniquely-designed “mini-book”, this 68 page plus 8 page cover publication has a final size of 5.5” x 7” upright.

Specifications:  While the text is only black ink, the outside cover is printed CMYK, plus a double-hit of black, to create a richer, deeper background.  The stocks are Finch Opaque White Smooth 100# Cover and matching 80# Text.  It is gloss film laminated and perfect-bound with two 5” flaps.
